This position is for a team leader/manager within the PC Vision group, responsible for designing and developing the most sophisticated Machine Vision software in the world. Our software is used to align, measure, recognize, and inspect all types of products from computer chips to chocolate chip cookies. Our systems are used in many different industries including consumer goods, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and electronics. This job requires team leadership and people management skills.
Essential Functions:
1. Imagine, design, develop, debug, and code C and C++ machine vision software.
2. Build efficient, real-time software and related libraries to run either on a PC or DSP.
3. Invent, implement and optimize new vision algorithms.
4. Interact with internal or external customers.
5. Oversee development through design review process and hands on problem solving.
6. Take responsibility for technical quality of staff’s output and timely completion of development tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Strong software engineering skills, and experience in production coding.
2. Able to take the lead in solving difficult technical challenges.
3. Experience with signal processing and/or computer vision preferred.
4. Industrial programming experience desirable.
5. Experience in applications of computer vision in manufacturing also of interest.
6. Creative, motivated and looking to work hard for an aggressive growth company.
7. Possess and promote skills in decision-making, negotiation, problem analysis, and risk assessment.
8. Establish deliverables, create and maintain schedules, communicate progress, decisions, and issues.
Minimum education and work experience required:
1. MS or PhD from a top engineering school in EE, CS or equivalent
2. 3+ years experience in relevant, high-tech, industrial jobs in lead role and coding in C or C++

This position is responsible for providing technical assessment of customer applications in pre-sales situations. This individual works as a part of the sales team. They work closely with the sales team to meet customer requirements by means of customer’s sample evaluations, demonstration and presentation of the technical solution in front of technical and non-technical audiences.
Essential Functions:
1. Provides application appraisals to sales
2. Provides pre-sales support through demonstrations, trade shows, technical seminars, sample evaluations, etc.
3. Gives presentations and live demos to both a technical and non-technical audience
4. Assists beta customers in using our software and hardware throughout the beta program
5. Develops a working knowledge of the sales cycle and customer relationships
6. Performs post sales support as necessary
7. Prepares trade show software and hardware to demonstrate machine vision system capabilities, prepares and conducts technical seminar presentation and supports beta customers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Minimum 2years “C++” or Basic Language programming experience; experience in real-time programming for automated systems, machine vision or image processing systems is preferred
2. Good understanding of WindowsNT, Windows 2000 and GUI tools on PCs
3. Good understanding of the PC environment is an absolute must
4. Good analytical and problem solving skills
5. Good presentation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
6. Knowledge of basic optics
7. Ability to travel 25% of the time – any candidate should be willing to travel on short notice
Minimum education and work experience required:
1. BS or MS in an engineering field such as CS, EE, ME, Optics or equivalent
2. Typically 2+ years of experience in Engineering or Applications Engineering
